Rippling Water Kennel - AT Shuttle Service at Great Smoky Mountain National Park Rippling Water is a licensed boarding kennel located in Swain County, NC, 40 minutes from Fontana, the southern entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and 2 hours from Davenport Gap, the northern end of the park. We have large indoor/outdoor runs and a half- acre exercise yard. We provide shuttle and boarding service for dogs for north and southbound hikers while the hikers go thru the GSMNP. Dogs are picked up at either end of the park, boarded, and delivered to the other end of the park. The flat rate for this service is $245 for one dog and includes up to 7 days of boarding. If additional boarding is required, the rate is $12 per day. Grooming services are also available at additional charge. Payment may be made by cash, travellers checks or personal checks. Credit cards are not accepted. Reservations are strongly recommended as we are often full at this time of year. A $50 deposit is required with a reservation. The deposit is fully refundable up to 14 days before the expected arrival date. We encourage hikers to call us ahead of time not only for reservations but to discuss their dogs and talk about diet and other health issues for
