I'd like to think that I'm a nice guy...

...after all, Mountainpathfinder.com is about making information available to the SAR and hiking communities. And at the moment, I probably have more direct links to Katrina pet relief agencies on every page than most other private websites, too. The bandwidth needed to put this out on the Internet costs money, though, so MP needs to be as self supporting as possible.

    So, to accomplish that, I've partnered up with several reputable Internet merchants, such as Amazon.com. Lots of MP visitors are interested in learning more about books and equipment for hiking and SAR. I have now linked my discussions of these to the webpages where these retailers offer those products. 

    Clicking on a product link opens a new window with the retailer's webpage for that product. A viewer gets a better look and description of the product in question. You can even choose to purchase the item immediately or put it into a "cart" or "wish list" on the retailer's site (not MP!) for later buying.

    In return, the retailer pays MP a small commission on every purchase made through the site. Those funds permit me to keep the website paid for and (hopefully) make the site grow. So, if you make a purchase, you've helped to underwrite the information available here. Thanks! - Jim
